Differences LED TV between LCD TV: Color and Contrast

Contrast LCD TVs create the color black by blocking the backlight much like you’d block out the sun with your own hand. The problem is you don’t get an absolute black as some light passes at the sides. Local dimming LED TVs on the other hand turn off the LEDs to areas where it is supposed to be black. It creates a much better contrast on the picture, providing better quality.

Edge-lit LED TVs on the other hand produce a whiter white but still has the same problem as LCD TVs. Color There’s another technological difference with LED TVs. There are local dimming LED TVs with only white backlight and there are also those with colored (RGB) backlights. As for color, go figure. Colored LED backlights are way superior to white backlit LEDs or LCDs.
